Senior Mining Engineer - Underground

An innovative and ambitious operator is currently looking to further add to their leadership by hiring an Expat Senior Mining Engineer - Underground to their team. As one of the more senior individuals of the mining team in this operation you will be responsible for leading certain aspects of the mining team, supporting the Head of the Underground department and mentoring of the up-an-coming, but hungry-to-learn nationals.

The best suited incumbent for this Senior Mining Engineer - Underground role will possess and oversee;

• Degree in mining engineering or similar
• Previous experience as an expat
• Approximately 7-10 years' experience contractor or operator
• Metals experience in an tier-1 or tier-2 sized operation would be favoured
• A big push towards technology & innovation
• Production focus is essential for this role
• A passion for solving challenges and working within different mining methodologies like open stoping
• Collaborative approach - working closely with other teams
• Supporting the Technical Services Management and Underground Management team
• Underground experience
• Brings ideas to the table - a problem solver
