Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (Mining)

Job:

5 positions for BC

Rate : 55$ to 60$ per hour

2 weeks 2 weeks out rotation

Flights paid from major airports. Accommodation supplied.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair large mobile mining equipment.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance inspections and Preventative Maintenance services.
• Service and repair equipment in the field.
• Clearly write reports, cross overs and daily time detailing work performed and problems found.
• Have a level of professionalism, organization, safety and skills set the meets or exceeds industry standards.

Qualifications:

• BC or Interprovincial Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification required.
• 2 years field experience preferred.
• Experience with Caterpillar, Hitachi, Komatsu, John Deere heavy equipment.
• Strict safety and attendance record.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products ie. Word, Excel and Outlook. As well as computer knowledgeable.
• Knowledge of SIS and ET and other electronic diagnostic tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds is required.
• Willingness to work in adverse and extreme conditions.
• Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to follow direction and proper procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Fly-In/Fly-Out

Salary: $55.00-$60.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Overtime

Experience:

• In the Field: 2 years (Preferred)
• Heavy Equipment: 5 years (Preferred)

Licence:

• Journeyman (Preferred)
• Drivers License (Required)

Language:

• English (Preferred)
