Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Operational Support General Supervisor at our Carlin Surface operation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the safe execution of maintenance activities for various site support functions across the Carlin Complex
  
• Supervise the light vehicle maintenance, site services and dewatering supervisors including planning of their career development
  
• Develop and manage business improvement projects
  
• Collaborate with division across the complex in creating PM schedules, prioritizing repair work and implementing improvements.
  
• Support operational objectives by minimizing risk and maximizing value through contract administration of contractors with focus on value, cost reduction, and risk management
  
• Ensure production outcomes result from safe work practices and in full cooperation with all other work groups
  
• Perform other duties as assigned
  

Qualifications :

• Minimum of eight (8) years progressive experience within the mining industry with five (5) years' direct supervisory experience required
• Five (5) years experience in a leadership capacity required
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business management or related field of study, and relevant experiencepreferred
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes regular weekend coverage required
• Excellent communication skills - both oral and written required
• Excellent safety, performance and attendance records required
  
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to show empathy and build rapport required
• Excellent planning, problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills required
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with business software applications such as RIMS, LMS and Oracle/Markview applications required
• Demonstrated ability to perform essential function of the position

About Nevada Gold Mines

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018.
