Position Specifics & Deliverables
- Ensure designs are produced in accordance with client, discipline, statutory regulations, good practice and procedural requirements and ensure completion within required man hours and budget
- Clear and timely communication regarding design change issues
- Liaison, support and timely transfer of information to other disciplines
- Input to capital estimates including quantity calculations
- Respond to technical queries
- Act as checker for other designers as required
Skills / Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical / Piping design / drafting
- Minimum of 6 years general design drafting experience, ideally within the mining and metals processing field
- Understanding of discipline technology and other discipline requirements
- Ability to problem-solve effectively
- Strong analytical, literacy and numerical skills
- Ability to identify risks and work safely
- Competency in Microstation / Aecosim 2D & 3D Design tools
- Understanding of Australian and common International standards and regulatory authority requirements in the mining and minerals processing sector
