About the role

We are looking for a Principal Advisor Procurement Transformation to partner and collaborate across procurement, functions and the business to design, facilitate and deliver procurement improvement solutions.

This role is a great opportunity for a passionate self-starter who can hit the ground running in this procurement business improvement role. Reporting to the Senior Business Partner Africa Procurement, you will be:
  • Engaging and partnering with the business, Procurement and functional teams to deliver on our end to end process optimisation programme
  • Driving change to influence digital mindset and Procurement initiatives
  • Good foundations in understanding data and to be able to draw conclusions and make decisions with data and analytics - drive procurement efficiency and data quality
  • Leading the design and delivery of improvement solutions that delivers quantifiable business value
  • Facilitating and coaching improvement 'squads', the Procurement Community of Practice and procurement teams to problem solve, prioritise and work through improvement opportunities.
  • Managing multiple streams of work and stakeholders across business groups and locations.
  • Shaping and evolving improvement architecture and strategy, gathering external thought leadership

What you'll bring
  • A strong safety mindset
  • 10-15 years of experience in Procurement, Commercial and/or Business Improvement
  • Sound understanding and deep experience in working end to end business, business process improvement, technology and integration points
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in improvement approaches such as end user experience, Agile, Lean, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma.
  • Demonstrable experience in project, stakeholder and change management methodologies to successfully deliver sustainable improvement outcomes
  • Experienced in facilitating workshops to engage cross-functional teams to understand complex business problems and agree long term solutions
  • Experienced in engaging with and coaching key stakeholders up to senior leader level in the delivery of improvement projects, squads and continuous improvement
  • Experience in reporting and analytics
  • Fluent in English

It will also be beneficial if you have:
  • Knowledge and experience working across cultures and geographies as this is a global role.
  • A degree in Business, Procurement or management with a proven track record delivering results and being able to tell the story of value realization
