Structural Geologist Position Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Geologist, the Structural Geologist is responsible for contributing to a proactive safety culture through active engagement in safety initiatives and interactions. The Structural Geologist will also be responsible for structural mapping on a large concession and for interpreting the information for a better understanding of the principal elements of the structural processes. Additionally, the role will be responsible for modeling the structures to assist understanding at the regional and mine scales. This geologist role will support company policies, business objectives and company culture.

Responsibilities:

•Active participation in safety meetings, interactions and inspections
Detailed structural mapping of the mine and district Conduct geological and structural mapping at different scales and capacity to integrate a variety of datasets Fault kinematic analysis Help to define paragenetical relationships between different structural sets, changes in the stress field and the main mineralization stage/s at different scales. Structural reconstruction at a district scale Present methodology & project evaluation to technical management
Interpretation and Modelling in 2D and 3D Classify and categorize different stages of faulting and in time and space related to ore bodies Analysis of structures in drill holes and establishing of procedure for structural core logging Provide framework to improve underground structural mapping and identify and analysis of different structural domains in small and large scales

•Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

•Master's or PhD in Geology or related field desired

•Minimum of one (1) to five (5) years experience of structural mapping and economic geology experience

•Strong ability to participate in and drive safety culture throughout operation required including familiarity with MSHA regulations

•Strong structural mapping skills.

•Solid understanding of mineralized systems and hydrothermal alteration desirable.

•Familiarity conducting geological and structural mapping in volcanic terranes highly desirable.

•Capable of utilizing latest computer & software technologies to model geology in 2D and 3D

•Ability to communicate well with various internal and external stakeholders in both oral and written formats
