At Cadia you will play a part in the expansion of our Tier 1 operation developing Cadia into one of the largest, safest, most cost effective and technologically advanced block caving mines in the world. Currently we are undertaking stage three of Cadia's mine life strategy by further developing our underground mine to include its 3 rd panel, as well as increasing our ore handling and processing capability.

Operations near and far

Cadia Valley Operations is located in Central Western New South Wales, approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional township of Orange and a convenient three hours from the capital city of Sydney. Employees reside in varied accommodation options in and around the district of Orange with the surrounding area's occupied by winery's, stone fruit orchards, farming and national parks.

Employees have access to the area's wide range of amenities, including a prominent health sector with a modern well-equipped regional hospital, excellent educational facilities, shopping, large selection of sport and recreation options, transport and other services such as childcare.

Who we're looking for

Reporting into the Superintendent-Training & Systems, the primary purpose of this position is to coordinate the management, review and analysis of training data to ensure compliance and assurance responsibilities are met and manage the administration of the learning management and records management systems to ensure accurate records are available for reporting, auditing and investigation purposes.

A few of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Facilitating and implementation of audit programs including the implementation of site-based components
  • Analysing the outcomes of audits and assessments to identify key control issues and improvement opportunities
  • Collating and producing monthly reports to the Training and Systems Superintendent
  • Working with and establishing effective relationships with key operational stakeholders

To succeed and thrive in this position you will have -
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technical business and/or training systems (eg SAP Litmos, Talent LMS, Moodle, SuccessFactors)
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving to determine effective outcomes when working with stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders
  • A well structured and organised approach to work with exceptional time management skills
  • A personable approach to customer service
  • Proven systems auditing experience within a large organisation; background in Mining or Resources Industry will be highly regarded
  • Ability to act with discretion and treat confidential information appropriately
  • Report writing skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, exposure to Visio and Adobe Captivate an advantage
