ABOUT THE ROLE

In this key position of Stakeholder and Learning Development Officer, you will work alongside our Zero Harm team to successfully coordinate Stakeholder relations within the business and will be responsible for ensuring optimum training compliance is achieved through our Learning Development processes. Joining our team based in Canning Vale, you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills within the construction and administration space working across two of our Downer Utilities businesses - UrbanGrid Australia and UAM Pty Ltd. The position is currently being offered on a full time 10 month fixed term position with the opportunity for ongoing work post term.

Day to day duties include but are not limited to:
  • Administration of Learning Management Systems including compliance reporting, gap analysis of mandatory training requirements and supportive performance development;
  • Coordinating the scheduling and delivery of relevant inductions, training and assessment including preparation, ordering and tracking of all training resources as required;
  • Effectively liaising with key stakeholders to ensure optimum communication and enquiry resolution is upheld and maintained;
  • On boarding of all workers and companies including coordination of inductions/training, review of all employee qualifications and ensuring all training requirements and authorisations are met prior to commencement of employment/work;
  • Providing administrative and operational support to a multidisciplinary team including various management groups.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an excellent multi-tasker, with high attention to detail, that enjoys the thrills and challenges of a busy and dynamic environment with the ability to work effectively under pressure.

To be successful in this role, ideally you will bring:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in either a Learning and Development/training role or Communications & Stakeholder engagement role;
  • Demonstrated experience engaging and liaising with varied and key stakeholder groups;
  • Proven ability to build solid working relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation and relevant external parties;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to sufficiently manage conflict scenarios, negotiate suitable resolutions with the ability to escalate and articulate complex issues;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (predominantly Outlook and Excel);
  • Administrator experience with Learning Management Systems (SAP, Litmos, CSI) or similar Personnel/HR management systems;
  • Experience with organisation compliance and addressing quality standards;
  • Ability to continuously evaluate, prioritise and manage time and workload in a rapidly changing environment;
  • Experience in construction or training is highly regarded, but not essential.
