We offer several designated marshalling points within BC including Nanaimo, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Williams Lake, Prince George and Smithers.

Who we're looking for:

The General Foreman Operational Technologies is responsible for the systems and personnel that ensure the safe, reliable, and effective operation and maintenance of all mining systems technologies, as well as Instrumentation and Controls technologies as they relate to all mining/processing systems. You will provide technical support, guidance and coaching to site personnel on operational technologies, best practice and technical matters related to process control equipment. Additional responsibilities of the are:

• Understand and support Cat, MineStar - Fleet and Detect, MineStar Health (VIMS), and Cat Driver Safety System as well as TyreSense (Tire pressure and temperature monitoring)

• Support energy management systems, energy meters, and protective devices across site

• Utilise domain knowledge to assist in Root Cause Analysis, process improvement and investigations

• Maintain a close working relationship with the Red Chris IT team and Maintenance Department

• Provide technical guidance on the integration of new systems with existing site electrical infrastructure and instrumentation

• Identify & execute minor improvement projects throughout the electrical and instrumentation infrastructure of the site

• Maintain adequate site callout support for control systems

The successful candidate will be a clear communicator, with strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to mentor and develop skillsets across the technologists and trades in core areas. You will possess the following skills and experience:

• Journeyman Electrician or Instrument Mechanic/Technologist

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a heavy industrial operation

• Supervisory experience at a Foreman level will be highly regarded.
