Who We Are:

Tombill Mines (TBLL.V) is a publicly traded mining company that is actively exploring on its wholly owned mineral exploration claims in the Geraldton and Beardmore region of Ontario. The Tombill Main Group Exploration Program (TMGEP), located within the Geraldton-Beardmore Greenstone Belt, is a down-plunge continuation of the mineralized strike on the adjoining Greenstone Gold Mine’s Hardrock Project to the east of the Tombill Main Group property.

Overview/Summary:

Tombill is currently seeking an Exploration Manager to join its Exploration team near Geraldton, Ontario. This is initially a one year contract, extendable subject to exploration success. The work schedule will be as required by the job, but is nominally a 14-day in, 14-day out rotation. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualification.

The Exploration Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day site operations of the TMGEP. This includes the planning and management of a multi-faceted exploration program to generate new resources. Under the direction of the CEO, or his designate, the Exploration Manager will design, propose and implement the exploration strategy and policy framework for TMGEP, within the framework of the organization’s strategic objectives and plans. In line with the strategy, the Exploration Manager will also define short- and long-term exploration targets, objectives and plans for the exploration function, as well as design processes, implement appropriate methodologies and procedures, and direct exploration operations to achieve the objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage organizational and administrative aspects of the exploration program including:
  - major logistical organization (e.g. location, operation and manning of drill rigs).
  - on time procurement of required materials and equipment.
  - operational budgeting and cost management in the exploration program.
  - administrative procedures, standards and controls.
  - productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness within the program.

• Provide high level technical and geological expertise to keep the exploration program on track.

• Plan drill hole locations and expected deviations for drill holes to effectively test the mineralization and exploration targets. This will include the planning and coordination of the detailed logistics of the drill programs to ensure a cost-effective work schedule.

• Interpret and analyse the results of drilling and other geological and geotechnical information to delineate current and future exploration targets. This will also include calculating mineralization composites and developing geological models to be used in resource estimation. This work will adhere to reporting guidelines, both internal and 43-101 Standards.

• Supervise all geological work (core logging, mapping, sample collection, QAQC) to ensure CIM guidelines for best practice for exploration.

• Complete all required weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.

• Plan and coordinate any additional surface exploration program including geological interpretations, geophysical and geochemical, surveys, mapping, trenching, compilations etc. This will include setting up contracts for various geological exploration programs, supervising contractor work on assigned projects, and ensuring adherence to all safety policies and procedures.

• Identify all legal and regulatory requirements applicable to exploration activities and ensure compliance with these. Develop and implement operational procedure and set the standards within which members of the exploration group operate. Manage compliance with operational procedures and standards.

• Develop, and modify where necessary, a human resource structure for the exploration programme, based on meeting exploration operational requirements and objectives.

• Organize, develop and manage the performance of all employees in the exploration programme.

Providing technical and technological advice and guidance to exploration staff. Coaching, and mentoring staff, while also ensuring that all employees are properly trained for their job responsibilities.

• Make and deliver presentations on the exploration program to local stakeholders, potential investors, and at mining shows.

• Make presentations to the Board and senior management.

Qualifications:

• Our ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Tertiary education in Geology and membership as a Professional Geologist in the Province of Ontario (P.Geo).

• A minimum of 10-15 years experience in an exploration management role or equivalent role of leading an exploration program, specifically with Archean Gold deposits.

• Capacity to coach, guide, influence and develop other Geologists and Technicians.

• Strong ability with geological modelling software (Datamine, Leapfrog, Target, ArcGis, Map Info, etc.)

• Strong computer and data management skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication.

• High Safety Standards.

• Supervisor training would be beneficial.
