NEWest Alliance is a multidisciplinary collaboration between CPB Contractors and Downer, working with the Public Transport Authority to deliver two projects (Yanchep Rail Extension and Thornlie-Cockburn Link) as part of METRONET.

As a Communications/Graphic Design Assistant for Downer based predominately out of our Bibra Lake office, you will be assigned a number of key responsibilities to manage within our company which will have a direct impact on our business. We need people who are talented, motivated and disciplined, and who have a strong work ethic that drives them to succeed. Some of your key responsibilities will include your ability to confidently and efficiently -

• Take editorial-style news photos
• Create short people-to-camera videos for internal and external use
• Use InDesign and Photoshop
• Support creation of internal and external communications material
• Use MS Teams to an advanced level
• Support internal website design development and updating
• Use 2D and 3D imaging systems

ABOUT YOU

• Qualifications in graphic design, communications or similar.
• Graduate or 1-3 years' experience in graphic design/communications
• Ability to quickly and accurately convert draft documents into professional-standard communications material using advanced InDesign skills and comprehensive knowledge of graphic design principles
• Excellent organisational skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in Microsoft Office skills including Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Understand systems design and analysis
• Ability to support creation of internal and external communications material

Preferred

• Ability to take editorial-style news photos and manipulate images with Photoshop
• Use MS Teams to an advanced level
• Use 2D and 3D imaging systems and understand systems design
