Quality Assurance Administrator

SNC-Lavalin and our “Minor Warships & Auxiliary Vessels” (MWAV) team is currently looking for a QA Administrator. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM), the Quality Assurance Administrator will assist in ensuring that current project quality documentation meets applicable ISO requirements, as well as aligns with this Business Unit’s worksite activities. This will be completed through intensive review, editing, and cataloguing of all documents.  

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Monitor the Contract Master Schedule under direction of the Quality Assurance Manager;
  • Oversee the Contract Deliverable Requirements (CDR) process, including:
    • Monitor the CDR schedule;
    • Prepare deliverable templates for group updates;
    • Issue notices of upcoming CDRs and due dates to authors;
    • Follow up with document originator to correct documents;
    • Review document of accuracy, spelling, grammar, punctuation, paragraph numbering, format and adherence to template;
    • Editing and formatting documents;
    • Send documentation to SNC Lavalin staff for review;
    • Trending and reporting on the timeliness of submissions;
    • Uploading files to SharePoint;
    • Notifying client of CDR submissions by email; and
    • Tracking receipt of CDR submissions to client;
  • Maintain a document control register for CDR submissions;
  • Other tasks as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager or senior management.


What you will contribute?

  • University degree in Science, English, or Communications, or a related technical field, and/or a College Diploma / Certificate in Technical Writing, or demonstrable equivalent training, knowledge, and experience may be considered; 
  • Minimum of three years' experience reviewing, editing, and writing technical documentation; 
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills; 
  • Competent in MS Office 2013 (or higher), including Visio and MS Project; 
  • Experience working with and cataloguing files through SharePoint 2013 (or higher)
  • Must be able to secure Canadian Reliability Security Clearance


Local candidates preferred. Chosen candidate must be able to pass Reliability Clearance with the Department of National Defense.
