Position Description:

Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an Underground Network and Communication Technician to join our Goldrush Underground Maintenance Team.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Underground Network and Communication Supervisor, the Underground Network and Communication Technician is responsible for the following:

• Perform all network and communication maintenance duties required in the mine and on surface. Equipment includes, but not limited to fiber optic network, wireless network, Cisco switches, Radio and radio controls.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Three (3) years experience with underground network and communications preferred
• Formal education in network and/or communications preferred
• Possess strong knowledge/skills in Network & Communications repair, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of complex underground equipment preferred
• Willingness to learn and apply new skills to repair all underground mobile mining equipment required
• Proven safe work record required
• Willingness to work in a team based maintenance organization required
• Strong dedication to safety and courageous leadership required
• Demonstrated knowledge of Oracle/EAM preferred
