Reporting to the Manager, Processing Technology Delivery the Site Delivery Specialist is responsible for overseeing the management and delivery of projects, from inception to completion, and assisting Program Mangers with their PM duties at the operational mine site. While there will be no staff directly reporting into this role, you will be required to acquire and coordinate resources, including contractor resources, assigned to the respective project. This will be a 12 month term position with the possibility of an extension at the end of the 12 months.

To be successful in this role we require someone with strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, who can build consensus with a group. Someone who is comfortable working with some ambiguity in a dynamic multi disciplinary environment. We are looking for someone who has strong analytical skills and will strive to get the job done right.

Responsibilities :
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Work with internal on-site resources to plan and schedule project activities, coordinating between the site and corporate teams
  • Coordinate work with unionized site and contract resources
  • Ensure Project Lifecycle is executed based on current policies and framework
  • Manage projects from initiation to closure with a committed goal of safely delivering on time, on budget, and in scope, with a high level of quality and business satisfaction
  • Work with Managers to acquire required project resources
  • Monitor funds spent in relation to the project, this includes maintaining a detailed current view of budget, actuals, and forecast numbers
  • Conduct ad-hoc project audits to confirm they are on track with documentation, budget, schedule and scope to mitigate potential risks to compliance or project success


Qualifications :
  • Degree or diploma in a relevant subject area, or equivalent professional experience
  • Registered, or eligible to register, as a Project Management Professional is an asset
  • Minimum five years demonstrated ability managing large projects ($1-$10M) in a heavy industrial environment
  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary, dispersed teams
  • Experience working with unions would be an asset
