About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer for Rio Tinto Ballast Cleaning Project within their Rail Maintenance Division. Karratha site based. Residential or FIFO from Perth, 5:2, 4:3 roster.
Duties include:
  • Facilitate and support the Defect Elimination process through applied understanding of Reliability fundamentals including FMECA and Root Cause Analysis
  • Act as the responsible engineer assigned to ensure Management of Change processes are followed.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure safe work for all work teams.
  • Be able to positively engage stakeholders from multiple departments to rally support for project initiatives.
  • Frequent Stakeholder liaison with management and other teams
Skills and Experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Strong Mechanical Engineer background
  • 2+ yearsâ experience in Heavy Haul Rail (preferred)
  • Experience in Heavy Equipment Maintenance (preferred)
  • Mining industry experience
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • WA C Class Drivers Licence
