Are you passionate about safety? We are looking for a skilled safety practitioner to join our safety team at our Greenhills operation!

Reporting to the Supervisor, Health and Safety, the Safety and Loss Control Coordinator is responsible for administration and coordination of site safety programs. You will ensure the mine site and its personnel are always in a state of readiness and are committed to our vision of “everyone going home safe and healthy everyday”.

To be successful we are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal and communication skills, who is self-motivated, but works well in a team. We require someone who is highly organized, and detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills. Most of all, we require someone with outstanding leadership skills and a passion for health and safety.

In this role you will have the opportunity to own your role and realize your successes from beginning to end. You will get the chance to collaborate closely with the operations, as well as our centralized and corporate safety teams. You will be a key partner in building a positive and proactive safety culture.

Responsibilities :
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Integrate into operating departments to engage with leaders and employees in the risk management process
  • Apply continuous improvement processes and systems to improve health and safety performance
  • Continuously improve workplace safety by regularly assessing critical controls for their effectiveness, report on practices and conditions found, and collaborate with partners to resolve
  • Coordinate Occupational Health and Safety programs, including fitness for work, industrial hygiene monitoring and exposure reduction, and Contractor Management
  • Be a technical risk management resource for the operational department


Qualifications :
  • Diploma or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum three years of work experience in a heavy industrial environment
  • Strong digital literacy and proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite®: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
