Gruyere is one of Western Australia's most exciting new gold mines. Gold Road Resources and Gold Fields are proud to have an established 50/50 JV partnership over Gruyere.

Role Details

Reporting to the Superintendent: Mine Production, you will be responsible for the effective management of mine projects to ensure safe and timely completion within budget. Mining data management and analysis to recommend and execute improvement projects. Coordination of Sandvik Pantera drill rig operation, supply and maintenance associated sub-contractors.

This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance of Gold Fields and ensures that the Vital Behaviours are adhered to at all times;
  • Business Partner (contractor) management;
  • Proactively seek stakeholder engagement for all projects, and effectively communicate relevant information;
  • Scope and generate project schedules, and actively track these projects to ensure timely completion;
  • Generate 'Application for Funds Expenditure' documents to approve capital funding;
  • Actively track project costs to ensure compliance to budgeted expenditure;
  • Proactively monitor and promote safety with Business Partners and Contactor groups, including the generation of Risk Assessments;
  • Technical report compilation, including preparation of plans, forecasts, drawings, figures and tables;
  • Provide input to medium- and longer-term planning teams;
  • Enhancing the capability of the business to achieve improved performance and growth by actively contributing to business and cultural improvement initiatives, encouraging team members to participate and identify barriers to goal achievement;
  • Comply with and undertake additional/alternative responsibilities as reasonably requested;
  • Consistently demonstrate and reflect behaviours, actions and attitudes in line with the Gold Field's Vision, Values and Code of Ethics. Actively promote Gold Field's policies, procedures and systems relating to your area of responsibility.


Key factors to your success include:
  • Ideally a qualification in Project Management or Commerce or associated years of experience in a similar role
  • 5 year's surface mining experience, preferably gold, with exposure to all production phases
  • Highly competent in Microsoft office and reporting databases such as Power BI, Trimble Connected Mine, MMRS or Wenco
  • Exposure to mining software such as Deswick and Vulcan
  • Previous involvement in Automation Projects, Business Improvement Projects & Contract Management
  • A valid Driver's Licence
