ABOUT OUR CLIENT

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be a highly motivated, focused and self-directed person who has commenced their HR career and is keen to develop their skills further in a fast paced and busy coal operation.
The role is suited to someone who can efficiently and effectively perform all HR related tasks within set timeframes to support the daily operations and consistently deliver a high level of performance.
The role is a 8-10 month contract upon commencement with a possibility to extend on a drive-in drive-out (DIDO) site in the Isaac region situated 15 minutes from Middlemount.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Use your strong problem solving abilities, demonstrated HR knowledge and professional judgement to provide generalist support and advice to the operations across a full range of HR activities, including but not limited to.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Prior experience in administration, human resources, document control and compliance.
  • Detail orientated with ability to work at a consistently high level as part of a high performing team.
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic mine site environment and manage multiple competing tasks with various stakeholders.
  • Have an absolute commitment to working safely, complying with all site safety standards and ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace is essential.
  • Minimum 1 year practical HR experience and tertiary qualification in Human Resources.
  • Proven ability to work harmoniously as part of a team, independently and unsupervised.
  • Developed knowledge, experience, interpretation and application of relevant legislation governing employment, human resources and industrial relations (Fair Work Act, Awards, Agreements, etc.)
