Description

Primarily responsible for assisting Tax Manager(s) with preparation of the Company's US based income tax provisions and related complex calculations. Secondary responsibilities involve assisting other members of corporate tax department with process improvement initiatives including technology and tax technical assistance.
  • Prepare and compile complex tax calculations used in the monthly and quarterly income tax provision (actual and forecasted). Assist members of corporate tax department with presentation and support for quarterly and annual tax calculations.
  • Assist members of the corporate tax department with tax technical research, tax technology and process design, including SOX control implementation and testing.
  • Assist with maintenance and support of tax department applications and databases.
  • Assist with reporting and disclosure requirements associated with presentation of Company's financial statements. Includes preparation and support of necessary journal entries and account balance reconciliation.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, and four (4) years of experience in Tax and/or Accounting; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, and two (2) years of experience as an Accountant for a Big 4 public accounting firm.
  • Working knowledge of ASC 740
  • Experience with U.S. income tax rules and regulations including emphasis in the area of corporate consolidations
  • Expreience with OneSource (Tax Provision, UTP and Workpapers), Adobe and Microsoft Tools (SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power Query, Power BI, Teams & Outlook
  • Proficient in use of BNA, RIA, CCH and other tax and accounting research tools


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Accounting or Tax
  • CPA designation highly preferred
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion, Corptax, Alteryx, Business Objects, Microsoft Power Query and Power BI applications


Criteria/Conditions:
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
