The Role:
We are seeking a Planner Scheduler for a position on Lihir Island, PNG. Reporting directly to the Senior Specialist Planning, the purpose of this role is to add value by providing support to the Planning & Scheduling team to ensure planning schedules within the Power & Utilities area are achieved in a safe & timely manner.
Essential criteria:
- 3 - 5 years relevant work experience
- Experience in power plant or fixed plant maintenance planning or scheduling in heavy industry, preferably power generation or minerals processing desirable.
- Skilled in the use of CMMS & SAP software to perform planning and scheduling of maintenance activities.
- Strong interpersonal negotiation skills and influencing skills to maintain the agreed schedule.
- Competently develops Gantt charts and PERT diagrams using MS Project.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.
- High attention to detail with good time management skills.
- Strong active listening & interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- Technical Diploma or Trades Certificate desirable.
- Post trade/tertiary qualifications in maintenance management.
- Engineering Graduates in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering who want to pursue a planning Career.
Requirements:
- Open to PNG nationals only
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment
- Must have proof of a completed Police Clearance within the last 6 months
