About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking experienced Heavy Duty Fitters for ongoing FIFO roles at various Rio Tinto sites. These include Robe Valley, West Angeles and Hope Downs mine site. Reporting to the sites Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, you will repair and conduct preventative maintenance, fault diagnostics and breakdown repairs on mobile fleet out in the field and workshop. You will also inspect and determine equipment condition and assess its suitability to return to service.
The fleet of heavy mobile equipment of which you will need to have experience on are;

• Dump Trucks - KOM 730, 830 E, 930
  
• Dump Trucks - CATs 793
  
• Dozers - D10, D11
  
• Graders - 16H, 24H
  
• Loaders - WA980, WA1200
  
• Diggers - HIT 3600,? 5500, PC3000, PC4000
  

Skills and Essential Attributes

• 3 + years recent Fitter experience in an Iron Ore Fixed Plant or similar is desirable but not essential
  
• Mechanical Fitter/Heavy Duty Trade Certificate
  
• Current Australian 'C' class driver licence
  
• HR Drivers Licence (preferred)
  
• High Risk Licence - WP Class (preferred)
  
• Confined Space Certificate (preferred)
  
• Working at Heights Certificate (preferred)
