About the role

The purpose of this role is to provide Emergency Services on MRL sites proactively based on prevention, preparedness, response and recovery as well as providing prehospital care in a medical capacity, To safely execute MRL's Central Pilbara Exploration activities. This role is critical to the safe, productive, and timely delivery of mineral resources required to support MRL's continued growth in the Pilbara region.

You will;

The role is field based at one of MRLs major exploration projects on a FIFO 9/5 Roster.
This will be a hands-on and office-based position providing medical and emergency response to those on site. As a key team member, you will play a lead role in managing safety and ensuring Emergency Management Plans are in place.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide Prehospital Emergency care onsite.
  • Maintain appropriate site emergency response in accordance with Emergency plan requirements.
  • Manage the site emergency preparedness.
  • Maintain all medical and emergency equipment to a high standard.
  • Screen on site fitness to work testing including Drug and Alcohol screening.
  • Provide first aid training.
  • Statutory reporting for all safety compliance.
  • Provide safety training as advised by Safety Superintendent / Senior Safety Advisor.

What you'll bring to the team
  • Demonstrated experience as an Emergency Service Officer Role in the exploration/resources industry.
  • Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue.
  • Certificate IV in Pre-Hospital Care or higher.
  • Current Driver's license
  • Certificate IV in WHS or in progress
  • Drug and Alcohol testing
