About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Officer for Senior Executives across MRL. The role will work hand in hand with senior executives as the single point of contact for all IT related requirements including out of hours and off site support as necessary. The environment is dynamic, robust, and highly demanding of quality results with a focus on minimising down time and enhancing user experience.

You will;
  • Provide 24x7 support to Executives with all IT related requirements including desktop hardware, software and all relevant applications.
  • Build, troubleshoot, and repair computers, printers and any other associated IT equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to stakeholders with expedited response times, including support that is not normally afforded to regular users.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor who anticipates requirements at an individual level and builds an IT portfolio for each Executive according to his/her specific setup requirements.
  • Logging, tracking, troubleshooting and resolving service requests on an expedited timeframe, prioritising requests as necessary.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the broader IT team, executive assistants and all other departments as necessary to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Provide dedicated on call support and be available through multiple communication platforms with a strong emphasis on overall availability with rapid response times. This may include odd hours (early morning, nights, and weekends) and on occasion, at home support.
  • Provide off site support (including on remote sites) to provide executive support during events such as board meetings and Company announcements etc.
  • Assisting executives and their assistants with training on IT systems and other relevant technologies.
  • Maintain compliance to licensing requirements for all relevant hardware and software.

What you'll bring to the team
  • 7 - 10 years previous experience working in a Service Desk or IT Support environment.
  • Relevant industry qualifications or progress towards certification eg. Microsoft (MCP, MCSA), ITIL, IT Certificate II or other.
  • The ability to interact with, motivate and influence people cross-functionally in a collaborative and solution-oriented manor.
  • An ability to break-down issues, structure and carry out analysis as well as deduct solid conclusions and recommendations).
  • Must have the ability to think ahead and anticipate needs and/or issues/problems that may arise to mitigate any technical risks
  • Must have a clean history of ethical, honest and professional behaviour and understands discrete handling of confidential company information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Providing 1st and 2nd level technical support to end users.
  • Demonstrable experience in deploying and maintaining Windows OS and Office applications.

  • Experience in the installation, testing and maintaining of hardware and software according to a standard operating environment (SOE).

  • Advanced experience working with Windows Servers, MS Active Directory and mobile technologies.
