Job description
About the Role
The provision of support and advice to all internal and external customers of the Environmental Health Services Unit, to undertake regulatory functions to ensure statutory compliance, and to protect the health and wellbeing of the community and the environment.
After three months the candidate will be offered a permanent position with the Client and moved into proper housing accommodation/provided housing allowance. This role would suit candidates looking to relocate to Port Hedland or those wanting to increase their exposure to WA's top end to expand experience and skills on a temporary assignment.
Essential Experience:
Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent relevant qualification, with subsequent relevant work experience
Extensive working experience in the implementation, and ability to interpret relevant legislation including the Food Act 2008, Public Health Act 2016, Local Government Act 1995 and all related regulations
Qualifications suitable to the Department of Health to be authorised as a Regulatory Food Safety Auditor
Previously held a similar role
Temporary camp accommodation and a vehicle will be provided to and from work and weekends. Flights to Port Hedland back home (Perth) will also be provided. Any additional flights will be at your own expense.
