Our client, is seeking a Mine Supervisor for their open-pit mine in British Columbia. Reporting to the Mine Operations Superintendent, this is an integral role leading mining activities and ensuring compliance with all safety and mine regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all open-pit mining activities, including stripping, drilling and blasting
• Participate in mine staffing, scheduling and planning in coordination with other departments to ensure targets are aligned with overall goals
• Provide accurate timely reports as needed on mine activities and related data.
• Control mine operations and supervise mining contractors in ancillary work
• Train and mentor junior team members to ensure opportunities for professional growth and career development

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Mine Engineering or similar field
• At least 4 years of experience in a similar supervisory role in an open pit mine environment
• Advanced knowledge of OHS regulations and standards
• A proven track record of successfully leading a team in a mining environment
• Excellent communication skills and leadership capabilities
