About the role

As Geology Technician, you will work closely with the Mine Geologists by providing day to day assistance with logistics, ore mark ups and organisation of geological data. focus on the implementation and improvement of geological processes. Key result areas in this role include:

• Supervise the use of and continually seek improve geological processes to achieve and or exceed specified goals, cost and safety targets.
• Ensure that the Geology team supports the Mining Department to optimise the extraction of the mineral resource.
• Prepping of all bags and chip trays for Grade Control programs.
• Supervision of grade control drilling programs.
• Ensure timely collection and submission of grade control samples.
• Marking up of ore blocks as directed.
• Database entry of daily data and circulation of associated daily report.
• Regular stock-take and ordering of geological consumables.
• Routine ore spotting and checks.
• Provide input into budgets, forecasts and schedules.

Our Mungari gold operation is both open pit and underground, located 20km west of Kalgoorlie and 600km east of Perth in Western Australia. Being a residential mine, our employees go home every night, with many living in the local community of Kalgoorlie. About you

As a Geology Technician you will work as part of the Geology team at Mungari Gold Mine. It is important that you have/ can demonstrate:

• Experience in a Pit Technician/Geology Technician role within an open pit mining environment
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and desire to deliver a high standard of work
• Exceptional organisation skills
• Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
• Competence with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint is essential, Experience with Acquire and Surpac is highly desired.
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values.
