About the role

We are looking for a Manager, Mobile Equipment Maintenance to join our Greater Hope Downs leadership team and lead our mobile equipment maintenance teams to success.
As an experienced asset management and/or maintenance optimisation leader, this is a great opportunity to lead a large multi-disciplined maintenance team, geographically spread across two sites including our Hope Downs 1 and Hope Downs 4 iron ore operations. This role offers you an opportunity to manage more than just steady state operations. You'll play a pivotal role in driving and navigating your team through a period of organisational transformation. Reporting to the General Manager and working in a challenging and exciting environment, you will be:
- Identifying opportunities to optimise and rationalise mobile equipment assets
- Defining the strategies for the renewal or disposal of mobile equipment assets
- Deploying and developing maintenance teams and individuals
- Ensuring core asset management processes and practices are being applied
- Assessing and managing risks over asset lifecycle
- Reviewing and auditing compliance
- Reporting incidents as appropriate
In addition to the above, you'll build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across our operational teams and functional support teams while externally, you'll work with our original equipment manufacturers.
What you'll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Demonstrated ability to confidently manage large scale maintenance works, including shut down maintenance
- Asset management or maintenance optimization experience
- Authentic leadership and genuine care
Exposure to mobile equipment maintenance is not essential, and we would be interested in hearing from individuals with leadership experience gained across other operational maintenance environments.

Where you'll be working
This role is available on a FIFO basis, on a 5/2/4/3 roster, with every second Friday spent in Perth.
Located 50km north-west of Newman, Hope Downs 4 is a joint venture managed and operated by Rio Tinto, working in conjunction with nearby site Hope Downs 1.
