Join the team and be a part of the delivery of our Road Maintenance Contract, your role will involve assisting the Contract Manager and Senior Asset Manager with the stewardship of the Coastal Otago Network Outcomes Contract Assets along with various maintenance activities, minor and construction projects.

About the role
You will work across number of internal and externally located supply departments and sub-contractors. You will help in the delivery of contract requirements, optimization of resource use and achieving target results to the client's satisfaction, on time and within budget. Stakeholder relationships will also be a big focus to ensure they are enhanced and developed within your region.

Day to day you will be:
  • Work with operational staff to ensure maintenance intervention strategies are followed and decisions are made with a "best for network" approach
  • Manage the processes associated with the analysis of data, condition deterioration and asset collection
  • Develop Annual plans and funding requirements for delivery. Creating evidence based forward works plans with detailed cost analysis.
  • Developing plans and process for improving asset inventory/database management with a goal of data quality improvement to support data driven decision making.

About you
This role has "challenge and opportunity " to develop your existing skill set and we promise this will prick your ears up with excitement as you will have to tackle different tasks that show case your excellent organisational and communication skills.

You will have:
  • An excellent analytical mind and enjoy solving problems based on data and evidence
  • Interested in developing further into and gain experience in Asset maintenance with roading construction or maintenance based work
  • Able to follow instruction/process and deliver on time to the expected standard
  • Excellent use of MS Excel, Word and Outlook, and project
  • Current Drivers' Licence
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering (desirable but not essential)
