Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch LTK, a full-service consultancy, is currently seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join the Infrastructure group in Sydney or Melbourne.

Hatch LTK Australia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hatch Pty Ltd - one of the nation's most respected consultants to the rail transit industries, is currently seeking to identify suitably qualified persons for the position listed below.

This position will be an opportunity to join a lead and growing team dedicated to serving clients in systems engineering, assurance & integration on both the client and contractor side with an existing pipeline of high-profile projects in the rail space already in place.

As the successful candidate you will:
  • Proactively participating on multiple transport projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality
  • Providing support to the integration manager in the field of Systems engineering, assurance & Integration with practical experience in the application of EN 50126 for the safe delivery of engineering projects
  • Completing work to a high technical standard, within agreed budgets and timeframes, and in compliance with Hatch’s Business Systems
  • Have a rounded understanding of the delivery of projects using Systems Engineering tools and techniques and its application across the project life cycle.

You bring to the role:

Essential



  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Around 10 years of professional experience in rail focusing on system engineering, assurance and integration.
  • Be a motivated, results-driven engineering professional that works well independently and within a team
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills including the preparation of technical documents
  • Track record of participating in complex multidisciplinary projects


Desirable

  • Chartered status or professional registration is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Availability for domestic and potentially foreign travel


Technical Experience in:

  • System Integration on large and medium scale projects
  • Safety assurance planning
  • Elicitation, definition and analysis of client system & safety requirements
  • Risk Assessment
  • Development of safety arguments and safety cases
  • Requirements Capture Verification and Validation
  • RAM Analysis
  • Configuration and Requirements Management
  • Creating and managing detailed hazard analyses for all stages of a project from concept through to operations and maintenance
