  • 12-hour shifts, alternating days, and nights
About Our Client
Our client produces bauxite, alumina, aluminium, energy coal, metallurgical coal, manganese, nickel, silver, lead and zinc in Australia, Southern Africa, and South America. The client has several mine sites across Australia used in infrastructure, energy generation, consumables, or vehicles.
About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Process Technician to commence at a Mine FIFO from Townsville. You will be working a rotating Roster with successful candidates starting as soon as possible.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Monitor processes and complete inspections on all operating equipment.
  • Improve plant availability and productivity, including removing identified bottlenecks in process system.
  • Meeting production targets.
  • Knowledge and experience on isolation and permit to work processes.
  • Perform minor mechanical and process maintenance on metallurgical process equipment.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in the plant and surrounding areas.
  • Monitor and control metallurgical processes from the control room.
  • Capture and update plant process data both performance and downtime related.
Skills and Experience:
  • Forklift, Bobcat and Gantry Crane ticket required.
  • 6 months Process Technician experience desired
  • South 32 induction advantageous
  • First Aid and CPR advantageous
  • Current Driver's Licence and Right to work within Australia
