About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Planner Ore Delivery System to ensure all weekly maintenance activities are planned and scheduled in a manner that maximizes the efficiency of the assigned maintenance crew, and maintains the reliability of the operational equipment. The area of responsibility for this position is the ATO Track and Ore Car Shop.

Reporting to the Superintendent Asset Management you will be:
  • Ensuring safety needs are given a top priority in work planning.
  • Ensure critical risks are identified in the planning process with appropriate controls accounted for so the work can be performed safely and effectively.
  • Improving productivity of people, equipment and work quality by eliminating potential delays and obstacles to efficient work execution.
  • Providing KPI data showing maintenance performance to varies departments and recommending system and design changes to improve processes materials.
  • Applying shutdown management best practices and scheduling shipping of repairable items and track them until they return to site.
  • Participate in defect elimination process, business improvement projects, RCM, and PMO review activities related to the area of responsibility.

What you'll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • Journeyperson Trade Certificate or Technical Diploma or Engineering B.Sc. Preferred Mechanical or Electrical
  • Demonstrated in depth planning and scheduling knowledge using a CMMS system SAP preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar industrial setting, mining, processing, manufacturing or related setting
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Maintenance work management processes
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

It will also be beneficial if you have:
  • Experience with mobile equipment (locomotives)
  • Experience with conveyor system maintenance
  • Microsoft Project
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training
