Administrative Assistant - Human Resources

Location: East Boulder Mine - Big Timber, MT

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide administrative support and assistance to the Human Resources Department. Areas of support include employee customer service, responding to employee questions/concerns, forms processing, employee guidance, policy guidance, employee relations, employee record keeping, office administration, data entry, leadership team support, and recruiting support. Provide information and assistance to employees and outside contacts relative to Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, working efficiently with minimal supervision, ability to organize and prioritize tasks, ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities. Assume increasing levels of responsibility. Proven ability to read, comprehend, and apply information from technical manuals and other reference materials. Ability to work in a team with high regard for Quality and Environmental concerns and a strong commitment to Safety and Safe Production. Ability to research and interpret complex rules and regulations. Ability to analyze situations and to make sound recommendations to management in the area of expertise. Ability to appropriately work with confidential information. Ability to solve complex problems and create innovative or new solutions to problems when necessary. Ability to interpret and respond to requests for information. Ability to write reports and correspondence and create and maintain files. Ability to develop and deliver training and presentations .

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 3 5 years of successful administrative experience
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize and complete projects with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
  • Proven ability to establish trust and respect with all functions/levels within the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Adept at listening, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and teamwork
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, databases, e-mail)
  • Demonstrated history of versatility, creativity, and innovation
  • Valid driver's license

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • 1-2 years experience in HR, including recruiting and labor relations
  • JD Edwards, MS Access, database or HR systems experience
