An exciting career opportunity has arisen for a Senior U/G Mining Engineer to join a start-up mining operation. This will be an excellent opportunity to further enhance your leadership skills by developing, mentoring & managing a team of mining professionals.

The role
Reporting to the Underground Manager or General Manager, and deputised from time to time as the nominated Alternate U/G Manager, this role will suit a Senior Mining Engineer that is looking to take the initial steps towards becoming an U/G Manager.

Your duties will be to provide leadership to the site technical team and oversee all the short term planning functions for the mine. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the underground. Mining comprises both mechanised and air leg stoping and therefore offers diversity and an opportunity to develop your skills.

About you
We require a degree qualified Mining Engineer, with a demonstrated track record of success working in a Senior Mining Engineering capacity for at least 12 months. You will have worked for a minimum of five years post graduate, including a substantial amount of that time in an underground mining environment and hold a WA 1st Class Mine Managers Certificate of Currency.

What is offered
The role will be offered on either a residential or FIFO basis (from Perth). A competitive remuneration will be offered. There is also significant upside potential.
