Position summary
Downer Rail and Transit Systems is committed to providing the highest quality of Rollingstock & Overhaul services for both the local Queensland and wider Australian markets. We are currently seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join our team on the Fraser Coast in Maryborough, QLD

About the role:

The Asset Manager will provide management of Asset Compliance and Capital Projects to deliver specified outcomes for stakeholders in terms of safety, scope, quality, standards, budget, timeframes and Internal customer expectations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will provide summaries, reports and updates to the RSS Leadership and Executive teams, as required.

Role requirements:

• Manage Capital projects
• Control facility change including principal contractor obligations
• Ensure maintenance timelines are met
• Preparation of Capital Work submissions
• Oversee capital works plans
• Liaising with relevant internal stakeholders
• Monitor completion of maintenance activities
• Ensure certification is maintained for all depot fixed and mobile equipment
• Championing the change management processes and tools
• Employee management and positive coaching
• Interface with all project functional leads
• Lead by example
• A commitment to upholding a ZERO Harm environment

Specific desired skills and experience:

• Strong project management skills
• Rollingstock experience - preferred but not essential.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business or Project Management
• Project Management within a construction, services or manufacturing environment
