Senior Underground Drill & Blast Engineer

CSG Talent have been retained by a global leader in Mining services to help them identify a technical expert in underground Drill and Blast to join their team in Perth. Overseas applicants are welcome for this position if you have the skill to take on the role.

The role is responsible for supporting across multiple projects simultaneously and will focus on optimisation and excellence in blasting practices utilising the best technology and methods available. Although the role is Perth based and does not work on FIFO, there will be some site work involved particularly to address more complex technical work.

This role would really suit someone with a genuine passion for Drill and Blast with a broad commodity and site type track record. If you are the kind of Mining engineer who loves finding the best possible results for a blast combining excellent blast design but also likes to get on to site to see why the best laid plans don't get the results expected then this role is for you.

To be a good fit with this role we would expect you to be a skilled Drill and Blast engineer with a deep technical understanding and knowledge of underground drill and blast practices, be able to design and optimise blasts as well as understand where the pitfalls between design and implementation can occur. You might have a Mining engineering degree but if you can do the rest and don't have the degree that is no problem.
