DESCRIPTION

Human Resources Superintendent

Position Summary:

To provide a holistic HR management function to the organization, covering the full employee value proposition from attraction and selection, through retention and development, to exit.

The HR Manager also functions as member of the company's leadership team, providing focus and advocacy, leading, and influencing organizational development and transformational processes. He/she also maintains a strong external focus by successfully interacting with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Superintendent:

•Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration or related field is

preferred

•PHR professional certification is

required

•8 - 10 years of experience in a mining or similar operational environment

preferred

•Minimum of 5 years in a Supervisory position

preferred

•Evidence of strong leadership and coaching skill s

required

•Valid Drivers License

required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

•Knowledge of State and Federal Regulations and NEPA, RCRA, ISO 14001

•Sound understanding of MSHA and the CFR's and general industrial safety

•Knowledge of company policy and procedures

•Knowledge of HSEQ standards and requirements relevant to this area of work and its related operations

•Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

•Knowledge of EHS and Security related computer-based systems

•Interpersonal , Leadership, Management, Coaching and Communication skills

•Level-appropriate problem-solving and Report writing skills

•Effective meeting and Time management and prioritizing skills

•Ability to Plan, Organiz e, Facilitate and Present

•Business acumen

•Strategic thinking

•Ability to utili z e radio communications and devices

Physical Requirements:

•Ability to perform work while remaining idle for long periods at a time.

•Travelling required between Corporate Office and site

•Climbing ladders/stairs, walking over uneven ground

•Light to moderate lifting

•Bend, stoop kneel, and stand for long periods of time
