About the Role:
Our client is currently seeking an Junior Field Hydrogeologist to assist with the technical leadership and oversight of the hydrogeological field program.
This role will provide a unique opportunities for a highly motivated individual to work as part of a field-based team of dedicated hydrogeologists and technical officers. You will support the safe execution of hydrogeological field programs, which are integral to the ongoing management of water related risk to our operations in the Pilbara. The roles encompass a diverse range of activities including drilling, aquifer testing and groundwater monitoring. Ultimately we are looking for a new graduate or junior to take on this role.
Responsibilities will Include:
You will be reporting to the Senior Field & Principal Hydrogeologist with duties including but not limited to;
  • Supervising technical aspects of the drilling, installation and aquifer testing of water supply, dewatering, reinjection and groundwater monitoring infrastructure;
  • Daily collection, entry and interpretation of hydrogeological data; writing of field program completion reports, and conducting analyses of aquifer testing data;
  • Work collaboratively with the Lead Hydrogeologists and Contract Partners to execute the Scope of Works;
  • Maintain adherence to scientific method in the execution of hydrogeological investigations.
Requirements of the Role:
  • An unrestricted 'C' Class Driver's Licence;
  • A minimum Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Hydrogeology or Geoscience field;
  • Commitment to health, safety and environment, promoting positive behaviour and a supportive safety culture through visible leadership;
  • Be highly attuned to issues of hydrogeological data capture, quality control and information workflow;
  • Previous experience in hydrogeological field investigations will be considered favourably; and
  • Excellent communication / time management skills
  • Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian Permanent Residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
