Our client is a Townsville based diversified welding & fabrication business. Their portfolio spans across fabrication, repairs & maintenance as well as construction. The Company has a strong commitment to Health and Safety, which enables to deliver a larger-scale of projects.

About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter to commence at a role for a local client in Townsville. You will be working in an ongoing position in Mackay with successful candidates starting as soon as possible.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Good fault-finding skills
  • Installation and monitoring of plant and equipment
  • Assure safe working practices
  • Experience working on locomotives is advantageous
  • Pre-start checks on machinery
  • Complete machinery inspections
  • Support preventative maintenance
Skills and Experience:
  • Certificate III in Engineering (Fitting Turning)
  • Current Driver's Licence and Right to work within Australia
  • Working at Heights is advantageous
  • Confined Space ticket is advantageous
