The Role

The new HR Manager will provide full end to end human resources advice and support which will enable our construction team to continue delivering on a broad range of projects across WA.

The nature of the work environment is construction based. Your experience will need to be from this type of operating environment to ensure your success, but to also ensure that the support you provide aligns to the demands of business unit too.

Key Accountabilities
  • Provide coaching, advice and support to leaders within the construction business as a trusted partner.
  • Lead the development and execution of the business unit people plan to position the business to successfully, and reliably deliver effective people outcomes.
  • Conduct due diligence on new project opportunities and support tenders and project development activities by contributing as a subject matter on construction projects.
  • Provide input and advice to support planning, costing and commercial considerations for new projects.
  • Engage with clients, subcontractors, industry associations and other third parties as required.
  • Support the human resources delivery of construction projects, including: people management strategies; advice and guidance on employee relations risks and mitigations; selection and management of subcontractors; project resourcing strategies; and market-competitive terms and conditions of employment.
  • Drive the achievement of key deliverables to position the business unit for growth and innovation, including workforce planning, talent management and succession planning.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR; underpinned with experience working as a HR Manager in construction related organisations
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills; in particular communication, influencing and negotiation skill-sets
  • Able to maintain composure in a fast-paced, energetic workplace; responding to competing demands for time and resources
  • Confidence to speak with authority to technical experts, and provide sound fact based leadership on HR related issues
  • A passion for identifying and developing talent
