Globe 24-7 in partnership with Newcrest Mining, is working together to source experienced and qualified talent to join their Mobile Fleet Maintenance Team at their Lihir Gold Operations (LGO).

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Specialist - Document Writer to assist the Mobile Maintenance Team at Lihir. Reporting to the Superintendent - Fleet Services, you will create and maintain technical documents, implementing a consistent approach within the department, ensuring compliance to both Newcrest and industry standards, allowing correct document control within both CDMS and SAP.

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
  • 5+ years experience in the mining industry.
  • Extensive experience in planning and reliability in the heavy mobile industry is essential.
  • Tertiary Qualification in Engineering is essential or Technical Qualification (depending on experience).
  • Technical Writing Qualification is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of SAP/CDMS or any other relevant systems.
  • An outgoing and proactive person who knows how to work independently.
  • Ability to work from home and communicate effectively with site personnel to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Exceptional time management skills.

Mobilisation Requirements:
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment and a police check.
  • This is a work from home position on a 5/2 roster with ad hoc travel to Lihir.
