Summary
The person in this position will work with multidisciplinary project teams and provide mineral and chemical process, extractive metallurgical, and related technical/engineering support for a variety of applications. Work may include conducting process design and analysis, detailed process mass and energy balance modeling, and laboratory and pilot plant testing; developing process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams; developing technical reports and equipment specifications; estimating capital and operating costs; and sizing process piping and equipment. The chosen candidate will work on projects involving both ferrous and nonferrous minerals, including base and precious metals, industrial minerals, and evaporites. The work may require short-term, out-of-town assignments and hands-on fieldwork.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, metallurgy, mineral processing, or materials science
- 20+ years of related experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or ability to obtain within one year
- Experience working at industrial sites
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Willingness to work in a project team environment that encourages self-initiative
- A flexible working style as required to meet deadlines and/or client needs
- Familiarity with basic Microsoft Office software packages, especially Excel
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to legally work in both the United States and Canada without the need for sponsorship or eligibility to obtain a TN work permit
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in chemical or metallurgical engineering
- Experience working at industrial sites either as an operating engineer or as a consultant
- Experience in hydrometallurgy
