Reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologist will provide support for geologic mapping and exploration drilling programs.
Responsibilities
Monitor and implement ore control systems and mine geology activities
Support exploration programs - infill and expansion drilling, logging and mapping at project areas.
Assist with QA/QC protocols, data management and geologic model construction.
Map and sample mine benches and blast holes.
Maintain the mine and exploration project geologic maps.
Log Reverse Circulation drill chips or Diamond Drill core and help maintain data.
Help prepare monthly geology reports.
Perform strenuous physical activities and be able to lift multiple 40 lb. samples on a daily basis.
Perform all work in a safe manner in compliance with Company's safety and environmental policies.
Qualifications
Bachelors of Science in Geology
Approximately 2-5 years of exploration geology experience, or minimum of internship experience if recent graduate
Strong academic and applied background in structural geology and epithermal Au-Ag systems.
Familiar with MS Office Suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Proficiency in appropriate software preferred, experience in Leapfrog, ArcGIS and Vulcan are highly preferred
Excellent organizational, presentation and communications skills.
Ability to work in multiple-task environment and properly assign priorities.
Ability to establish credibility and be decisive, but able to recognize and support organization's priorities and preferences.
