Reporting to the Planning Supervisor, the Planner, Mine Maintenance is responsible for providing detailed work plans in line with maintenance strategies and mine requirements that improve the efficiency and performance of the Maintenance Department.

Responsibilities :
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Manage work backlogs for accuracy, taking into consideration requirements related to parts, labor, permits, drawings, facilities, support equipment, special equipment, tooling, and instructions
  • Maintain an accurate forecast that adheres to established maintenance strategies, while supporting premier asset management strategies
  • Assist with monthly cost forecasting, annual budgeting, and cost analysis
  • Work regularly with maintainers to build or improve detailed work packages
  • Track and report Key Performance Indicators, bringing forward continuous improvement opportunities
  • Commission and decommission equipment, and their maintenance programs


Qualifications :
  • Journeyperson’s ticket, degree, or diploma in a related subject area, or a combination of relevant education and experience
  • Minimum of three years of planning experience in a mining or related heavy-duty industry
  • Experience in a mobile maintenance environment or other relevant field
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite®, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
