About The Role
WorkPac are seeking a Project Supervisor to join Rio Tinto's team on a FIFO 2:1 roster to Gove Operations. The successful candidates will provide site contractor management, construction expertise and implementation skills to deliver projects safely in a sustainable, timely and cost-effective way.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist contractors in scoping and planning execution of tasks to ensure safe and efficient execution
  • Follow all RTIO policies and procedures
  • Accountable for ensure Safety is driven and maintained as Rio Tinto's number one priority
  • The pre planning of shutdown activities, building of shutdown work packs, on boarding contractors, running contractor pre execution meetings, reading and reviewing risk assessment tools, conducting safety interactions and audits, ensuring quality workmanship of executed work, driving efficient execution of all shutdown related tasks.
  • Drive performance outputs of the team
    Ensure the work environment, practices and activities adhere to RTIO standards and specifications
    Allocate staff and material resources to ensure works are completed with optimum maintenance outcomes.
    Manage contractors in accordance to the RTIO Contractor Management System
    Implement and manage performance management and career development plans for all direct reports.
    Confirming the correct safe working control of the worksite
Skills & Experience
  • Must be experienced in mine site operations - min 3 years, desired experience at Gove Operations
  • Relevant project experience.
  • Current WA C Class Driver's license minimum.
  • Strong decision-making capability along with ability to work autonomously.
  • Previous supervisor or leading hand experience.
  • Ability to lead, influence and motivate.
