Who we're looking for:

We are looking for Field Assistants to assist with the safe drilling activity within the exploration group through logistical support of drilling, processing of core samples and other activities as required. Reporting to the Senior Project Geologist, the duties of the Field Assistant include the following:
  • Working in accordance with all company safety, health, environmental and community relations policies and procedures.
  • Processing of drill core samples including mark up, basic geotechnical logging, core photography, core cutting, and core sampling
  • Assisting exploration geologists with field tasks as directed including drilling field support, geology field support, logistics support, facilities and transport support to ensure overall smooth delivery of the exploration program.
  • Liaising with contractors including drilling contractors to support daily work programs and upcoming requirements.
  • Processing of drill core samples including mark up, basic geotechnical logging, core photography, core cutting, and core sampling directed.

The successful applicants will be self motivated, have an eye for detail and the ability to work as part of a team. Additionally, you will have:
  • Exposure to drilling and drill rig support
  • Experience with core processing
  • Good literacy/numeracy skills and basic computer skills are preferable.
  • Valid BC Drivers licence
