Senior Accountant - Denver, CO, U.S.A

SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector.

We are seeking a Senior Accountant.

Description of Responsibilities:

This position will work within a team of accounting professionals and report to the U.S. Controller.

Job duties and responsibilities include:

• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations;
• Assist the Controller with the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting packages;
• Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for annual financial statement review;
• Support company budget and forecasting activities;
• Perform variance analyses;
• Cross train with other accounting staff to provide support when needed;
• Identify areas of process improvement to ensure efficient and accurate processing of data;
• Research and respond to information requests from internal (other business units, departments, and employees), and external parties (auditors, US Bureau of Economic Analysis, etc.);
• Participate in a wide variety of special projects as needed.

Essential Requirements:

Required skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor`s degree in Accounting;
• Minimum 5 years` of experience in Accounting, preferably in the consulting and/or engineering industry;
• Prior experience working with the general ledger;
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, SumIf, Etc.);
• CPA or CMA certification required;
• Experience with Microsoft D365;
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and research skills, with a focus on being detail-oriented;
• Effective communication and time management skills;
• A demonstrated high degree of integrity, motivation and the ability to work independently.

Annual Salary Range: $75,000 to $90,000
