Our client, a global leader in the development and production of mining equipment and materials, is looking for a Technical Sales/Service Representative to help drive the growth of new business in Spares accounts, and and maintain those relationships. Reporting directly to the national Sales Manager, this person will be responsible for developing and driving best practices in their sales portfolio, and working with other sales and support specialists to ensure that this level of excellence is adopted across the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive new sales and build customer relationships, while maintaining existing accounts, through;
    • developing strong relationships with key stakeholders for new and current accounts, and;
    • and cold calling potential customers.
  • Manage, as needed, existing customer accounts across Canada.
  • Work with the national Sales team to develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and new sales.
  • Create and maintain service and support schedules for new and existing clients to ensure necessary interventions are performed and clients receive excellent continuing service.
  • Provide any necessary account related troubleshooting and support for product and process performance issues.
  • Develop strategies, plans, budgets, and reports for both sales and support of products, while adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Market research, reporting, and other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • 5 years' experience in an outside business development & technical sales roles within the mining and mineral processing industry in Canada.
  • Exposure and a general knowledge of metallurgical/mechanical systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business relationships, with existing, new, and potential customers.
  • Demonstrated with each stage of the sales lifecycle; prospecting, qualifying, developing interest, identifying needs, delivering presentations, qualifying concerns and closing; with proven experience in technical sales specifically.
  • Clear understanding of and experience in Mill lining, Material Handling sales, service, installation, product development.
  • A 4 year degree or trade experience in metallurgy or mechanical engineering is an asset.
