About the role

We are embarking on an exciting journey to fundamentally transform our technology landscape and digital capabilities.

As Solution Architect, you will collaborate with stakeholders to define business needs using design thinking concepts and lead innovative solution design of business applications for supply chain management, contract to cash processes, marine/logistics, commercial finance, risk management and commodity trading.

This role is a great opportunity for an experienced solution architect to join a market leader in the design and delivery assurance of commercial solutions into the digital age

Reporting to the IS&T Business Partner Manager, you will:
  • Define, develop and confirm business requirements and solution designs for business and IT stakeholders consistent with the business vision, strategy, objectives, priorities and drivers for Commercial business
  • Contribute to the development of the Commercial Digital/IT strategy and roadmap
  • Provide functional solution expertise, process analysis and consulting services across IS&T and Commercial teams
  • Deliver solution design and implementation estimates and lead software product selection, leveraging knowledge from other SME practitioners
  • Assess design, applications and systems alternatives and provide recommendation to the business and IT stakeholders
  • Manage solution overall quality assurance of the solutions, across the design, build and testing phases of delivery projects, including the review and sign off for design and build deliverables
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of integrated applications to drive consistency with the data models and standards.
  • Participate in and support any procurement related activities on system implementation vendor selection and software product selection
  • Collaborate and contribute in the digital architecture forum, operational forum and other related governance forum
  • Be intimate with the advancements and emerging technologies within your Commercial and data domain, routinely publish points of view and rally sponsorship by actionable business cases that are socialized with Commercial and IS&T leadership.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, Engineering or Commercial disciplines
  • 7+ years' experience with one or more domain - Sales, Marketing, Marine, 3PL Logistics, Supply Chain Planning or Trading organisation
  • Hands on experience in solution design and/or delivery as an implementation consultant and lead solution architect across various platform, with strong ability to work with different technologies and proposed a solution
  • Strong operational and functional process knowledge in one or more areas - sales & marketing, supply chain management, commodity / resources and manufacturing industries
  • Experience with two or more of eCommerce/Customer Portal, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Commercial Trading applications, sales and marketing reporting/analytics and financial planning and management tools.
  • Experience of Agile delivery, User Experience (UX) design and Design Thinking Methodologies
  • Excellent collaboration, influencing and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a network organisation across multiple regions/time zones
  • Demonstrated ability in building good relationship with key business stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to translate complex business requirements to functional and technical solutions
  • Creative and innovative problem solving and logical and structured decision making

It will also be beneficial if you have:
  • Experience in SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) and Logistics Execution (LE) functional experience, as an implementation consultant or part of a solution delivery team
  • Experience of Azure cloud application and integration platform, CTRM/ETRM application, Robotics Process Automation tools, data analytics platform
  • MS PowerApps or other rapid application development platform experience
  • Proven experience in business process re-engineering, process design and significant change management
  • Good understanding of master data governance
  • Experience in supply chain disciplines
