About the role

We are looking for a Mine Production Engineer at Gudai-Darri. This role will be Fly in Fly out from Perth only, on a lifestyle 8:6 roster.

Reporting to the Senior Production Engineer, you will:
  • Work closely with the operations team and support mine operations leadership team to drive productivity improvements
  • Lead all developments work to achieve an efficient and safe Autonomous hauling system
  • Be involved with Mine Planning and Life of Mine initiatives
  • Utilise accurate data analysis to drive cost reductions and efficiencies
  • Work Seamlessly with operations and Mine Tech services team to ensure conformance to plan
  • Promote and adhere to the Rio Tinto safety system, including Critical Risk Management and incident investigation processes
  • Collaborate and liaise constantly with Key internal and external stakeholders



What you'll bring
  • Strong Production and Planning knowledge
  • CAT Autonomous operations exposure or other Autonomous systems
  • Mine Design
  • Analytics knowledge
  • Exposure to and experience with Vulcan software
  • Demonstrated experience in both mine engineering and mine production roles in an open pit environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The motivation and ability to be self-driven and work autonomously
  • A manual C Class drivers licence
  • A Unrestricted Quarry Manager's Certificate or the ability to obtain one will be well regarded.
