Group Principal Mining Engineer

CSG Talent are currently working with a leading independent Mining company who are looking for a Group Principal Mining engineer to work from the corporate head office in Perth on a 5/2 roster with bi-annual site visits to both U/G and open pit assets.

The Group Principal Mining engineer will be responsible for supporting both site and corporate stakeholders with high level technical expertise to support the companies operations. In particular the role with co-ordinate and review medium and long-term mine planning and reserve optimisation as well as review LOM development and production schedules. The role works with both the site operational and project teams but also works closely with the corporate senior management teams helping to facilitate communication between the two. There is also a need for the Group Principal Mining engineer to support with upcoming technical mining assessment of growth opportunities and acquisitions.

To be considered for this role we are looking for someone with a Mining engineering degree alongside extensive Mine planning experience, ideally in both Open pit and primarily Underground environments. You will need previous experience in a leadership level role such as a Group, Principal or mine leadership type role as well as a strong knowledge of software packages such as Surpac and Deswik. You can be based in Perth currently or open to relocate.
